We want our customers to be totally happy with the product and service they receive. If you have a problem with delivery, or the brownies don't arrive in the state you expect, email katie@cakeordeath.co.uk and we will sort it so that you are happy.

Our standard brownie boxes are available in boxes of six or ten. Selected mini boxes, slabs, bundles and seasonal products contain different quantities, which are shown on their individual product pages.

You can select a desired delivery date using the calendar at checkout. This date is not guaranteed. Around 98% of orders sent using the next-day services arrive on the desired date, but Royal Mail or DPD delays can occur. For an important occasion, consider selecting a date one or two days earlier.

Yes, both DPD and Royal Mail should send delivery notifications to your email (check spam) letting you know when they will arrive.

The boxes fit through most letterboxes. Because orders are sent using tracked services, some delivery drivers may still choose to hand the parcel to the recipient or leave it in a safe place.

Yes. Independent retailers and other businesses can contact katie@cakeordeath.co.uk to discuss stocking Cake or Death products.

The brownies are wrapped in baking parchment and packed in a sturdy leopard-print gift box. Every box includes an ingredients and allergen sheet, and you can add a free personalised message at checkout. The order is protected by an outer cardboard wrap for delivery.

Yes. Add your message during checkout and we will include it on a postcard with the order. A separate handwritten greetings card can also be added to selected orders.

Sensitive packaging is a plain outer box without the words Cake or Death. The six-brownie box is wrapped in pink leopard-print paper so it still feels like a gift. The small allergen sheet inside must still show the bakery name.

No. Receipts and billing information are sent by email to the person who placed the order and are not included in the parcel.

Please get in touch (at katie@cakeordeath.co.uk) with us as soon as you realise and if it has not been sent we can change the address.

Sometimes when you order via Apple Pay or Paypal the system automatically takes the same billing address as delivery, so if you are sending brownies to a friend it will take their address for billing. This is not a problem as long as the order has gone through. The recipient will not receive billing information or any receipts - this is done by email to you.  

Place a separate online order for each address. For more than five addresses, contact us and we can provide a bulk-order form.

Build a Box subscription customers can choose the flavours in their box and change the selection to try limited editions. The available flavours are shown when building the subscription box.

Yes. Cake or Death can help with employee, client and event gifting, including orders to multiple addresses and personalised messages. Contact katie@cakeordeath.co.uk to discuss quantities, delivery dates and address collection.

Not at the moment - UK only including Northern Ireland. 

Usually not. Royal Mail or DPD may post the parcel, leave it in a safe place or leave it with a neighbour. Some drivers may prefer to hand it to the recipient. Delivery notifications normally allow the recipient to manage the delivery.

You can gain brownie points on all of our products, except for our subscriptions.

We send everything via DPD or Royal Mail. Unless DPD has been selected at checkout, your order will be sent via Royal Mail for your chosen delivery date.

A note on allergens: although our bakery is dairy free, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that the kitchens in which our ingredients are made are free from milk. This means that we cannot guarantee against traces of dairy, and therefore unfortunately cannot guarantee safety for those with severe milk allergies.

The bakery handles nuts, peanuts and gluten regularly, and so while some of our flavours may be free from these ingredients, there is the chance of cross-contamination.

Cake or Death is a vegan bakery and our brownies and bakes are made without dairy or eggs. Our ingredient suppliers may handle milk, so we cannot guarantee that every ingredient is free from traces of milk. Please read the allergen information before ordering for someone with a severe allergy.

Some brownies are made without gluten-containing ingredients, including our Classic Chocolate Brownie and selected gluten-free flavours. Our bakery handles gluten regularly, so cross-contamination is possible and we cannot guarantee suitability for people with coeliac disease or a severe gluten allergy.

Some recipes do not include nuts as an ingredient, but our bakery regularly handles nuts and peanuts. Cross-contamination is possible, so our products are not suitable for anyone who must avoid traces of nuts or peanuts.

Our bakery is dairy-free, but we cannot guarantee that the facilities used by our ingredient suppliers are free from milk. Our products may therefore contain traces of milk and may not be suitable for someone with a severe milk allergy.

Our brownies are wrapped in baking parchment and placed snugly in a beautiful yet sturdy leopard print gift box. We will also include a message on a postcard (you can specify the wording when ordering), as well as an ingredients list, with full details of allergens. The brownies are sent out in a cardboard wrap to further protect them - and every bit of packaging can be recycled. 

The brownies keep for approximately two weeks, even when stored outside the fridge. Keep them wrapped to maintain their texture and freshness.

You can choose your flavours through our subscription service. You can choose to receive brownies every 4,6 or 12 weeks and choose exactly what goes into the box. Build a Box is only open to subscription customers.

You can order a box of 6 brownies or a box of 10 brownies, saving you 25% per brownie!  

Keep the brownies wrapped and store them in the fridge where possible. They are also fine outside the fridge within their stated shelf life.
